Job Title: Senior Water Resources Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead the planning, design, and implementation of water infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, water treatment, and distribution systems, with proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the design and development of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
Conduct and review hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS).
Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications for water infrastructure projects.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring technical quality and professional growth.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
Support sustainability and resilience initiatives in water management, including reuse, conservation, and green infrastructure.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery within budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in water resources or related fields.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent registration preferred.
Proficiency in relevant design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPANET, WaterGEMS, SWMM, HEC-RAS).
Strong understanding of water treatment processes, hydraulic design, and infrastructure planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Experience in proposal writing and client interface is an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with desalination, wastewater reuse, or advanced treatment systems.
Knowledge of GIS applications in water management.
Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., AWWA, ISO, WHO).
Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
